The only resort and first in the country to be fully powered by the sun, Monaco Suites de Boracay uses rooftop PV power stations, developed by Buskowitz Energy, to generate a peak power of 110kWp to address the resort’s energy requirements. By relying on renewable energy and not on fuel-based sources, the resort has effectively reduced its carbon footprint. From February 2015 to December 2016, the resort generated a total of 256,852.36kWh or equivalent to 181 metric tons of carbon dioxide saved. Complementing the natural beauty of Boracay, seventy percent of Monaco Suites de Boracay is allotted for lush greenery.
